Immaculate Sonics

Once again, it is time for the list of CD's that i do not own, but should:

Artist goes first, than album name:

Immaculate Machine-Ones And Zeroes
One of those wonderful indie pop bands surronding the New Pornos, Immaculate Machine is the band of A.C. Newmans niece, Kathryn Calder, and sounds kind of like the New Pornos if someone had given them a keyboard, and they lost a couple of members
Check out this free and legal download:
Broken Ship

Destroyer-Rubies
Dan Bejar's project outside of the New Pornos, Destroyer takes the opposite direction of Indie Pop. Instead of turning each song into a semi new wave masterpiece, as IM does, he turns it into a longer form folk song. Bejar is unpredictable to say the least. His last album, called Your Blues, is a midi masterpiece, a far cry from the guitar rock that Destroyer now seems to be comfortable with.

The National
-Alligator
This album was nominated for a whopping 6 PLUG awards, and, unfrotunately, won not one. This is an album of toned down hard rock, similair to the Strokes, except a lot more proficient, and twice as good. Unlike the Strokes, therr are some pop influences in there, especially on the song Mr. November. Check them out. Now.

This list will increas three fold come april, as there are a million amazing CD's coming then: 10 Silver Drops (The Secret Machines), Show Your Bones (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) Ringleader of the Tormentors (Morrissey), Elan Vital (Pretty Girls Make Graves. Also, concert in May. Cheap too, only 12 bucks.) That, and the new Belle and Sebestation and the tickets to the Franz/DCFC Show, which i assume will be hella expensive, are gonna make it an expensive few months.

Sometime this weekend ill rant about Bright Eyes and the PLUG awards, i just dont feel like it right now.
